This includes funding and support offered to our community.  It’s important to carefully review the eligibility criteria, application guidelines, and deadlines for any grants that you are interested in applying for.

Sporting Club Grants Program

Open: 20 February 2025 Close: 27 March 2025

The Sporting Club Grants Program provides funding for community sport and active recreation organisations across Victoria.

Access to this funding helps grassroots clubs and organisations address barriers in participation, develop safe and sustainable practices and build social and active local communities.

This program assists organisations to:

  • purchase uniforms and equipment that are essential for participation, first-aid and safety
  • attract, build the capability and retain a skilled workforce – both volunteer and paid
  • increase equity, diversity and inclusiveness
  • implement good governance practices
  • increase participation of individuals and communities who participate less
  • create opportunities so Victorians can participate in ways that suit them
  • build a robust sector that responds to current and changing community needs
  • support athletes to achieve success in their sport.
Private Foundations

Many private foundations offer grants to support healthcare initiatives or medical equipment providers.  Currently, we are on the search for private grants.

Significant Sporting Events Program

The Significant Sporting Events Program helps sporting, community and event organisations to deliver significant sporting events in Victoria.

Together More Active

Together More Active 2023-27 provides grants to support organisations to increase participation in sport and active recreation, build a skilled workforce and a develop a safe, inclusive and resilient sector.

Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program

This program provides assistance to grassroots sport and active recreation clubs and organisations to replace essential sporting and first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of fire, flood, significant storms, theft or criminal damage.

The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program is aimed at improving availability and access to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in community sporting and recreational facilities, for use in emergencies involving cardiac arrest.

An AED is a device that is used in conjunction with Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and delivers a controlled shock to an individual experiencing cardiac arrest, increasing their chances of survival.
